Meet our Team

Sidath Gajanayaka is a Co-Founder and Director at Digico Labs. Currently he functions as the Chief Executive Officer overlooking all management functions.

Sidath is also qualified lawyer and a software engineer. He is an Attorney-at-Law of the Supreme Court of Sri Lanka and is currently engaged in active legal practice in the field of Civil Law. His specialities include Commercial Law, Intellectual Property (IP) Law, Technology Law and Company Law.

Apart from the legal practice, Sidath serves as a Visiting Lecturer attached to CfPS Law School, BCAS Campus, Horizon Campus, where he conducts lectures for both undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes offered by University of London, Oxford Brookes University and Birmingham City University, UK respectively. He is also a Visiting Lecturer for the Master of Laws programme at General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University, Sri Lanka.

Prior to taking oaths as an Attorney-at-Law, Sidath worked as a Software Engineer attached to Vega Innovations (Private) Limited, a premier research and development firm in Sri Lanka specialising in automotives, electric vehicle charging infrastructure and conversions, vertical agriculture, artificial intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT) devices and embedded systems. While at Vega, Sidath was instrumental in developing the software system used for chargeNET, which is an island wide electric vehicle charging network.

Sidath obtained the Bachelor of Science in Computer Science degree from General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University, Sri Lanka (KDU) with First Class Honours. While at KDU, he was a member of the team which won many local and international awards for the embedded device titled “SpecBuddy” – an AI-enabled smart glass for the blind community. Sidath also obtained a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of London, UK with Second Class Honours (Upper Division) and a Distinction for Public International Law. Pursuant thereto, he obtained the postgraduate qualification of Master of Laws (LL.M.) in International Studies in Intellectual Property Law from the University of West London, UK where he was the recipient of the two awards – “Highest average marks for the Dissertation in Master of Laws” and “Highest average marks in Master of International Studies in Intellectual Property Law”.

Currently, Sidath is pursuing his doctoral studies in Law at the Faculty of Law, University of Malaya, Malaysia. His thesis is titled “Artificial Intelligence and tortious liability in medical devices in the legal regimes of the European Union, Malaysia and Sri Lanka”. Over the years, he has authored many publications in research involving Computer Science and Law and his research interests include AI Law, IP Law, International Law.

Nisal Bulathsinghala is a Co-Founder and Director at Digico Labs. Currently he heads the technology arm as the Chief Technology Officer.

Nisal has over 5 years’ experience as a qualified Electrical and Electronics Engineer, especially engaged in the automotive industry. He is currently employed as an Associate Technical Team Lead at Vega Innovations (Private) Limited, which is one of the foremost research and development institutions in Sri Lanka, specialising in automotives, electric vehicle charging infrastructure and conversions, vertical agriculture, artificial intelligence, IoT devices and embedded systems.

Nisal graduated with a First Class Honours in B.Sc. in Electrical Electronic Engineering from General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University, Sri Lanka. He is currently reading for a M.Sc. in Electronics and Automation from the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka. Nisal’s research interests include artificial intelligence powered IoT devices and energy storage and management.

In his free time Nisal enjoys traveling, hiking and engaging himself in Do-It-Yourself projects!

Firaz Faisal is a Co-Founder and Director at Digico Labs. Currently he heads the financial arm as the Chief Financial Officer.

Firaz is a qualified Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Consultant with a cumulative experience of over 10 years in software implementation, business consulting and finance for various industries.

He is currently employed as a Project Team Lead at Netsense Business Solutions Asia, based in Malaysia. Prior to his current role, Firaz served in multiple multinational companies, namely Zillione, Bileeta and KPMG where he served as a Technical Manager – Enterprise Solutions, Senior Application Consultant and an Associate Consultant respectively.

Firaz is a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) at Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), UK. Firaz also holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Accounting and Finance from Heriot-Watt University, UK. Firaz also possesses numerous professional licenses and certifications awarded by Acumatica and SAP, both leading ERP service providers.

In his free time Firaz enjoys watching movies, traveling and hiking.

Onella Natalie is a Software Engineer at Digico Labs. With over two years at DigicoLabs, she specializes in web development, using Laravel for the backend and Angular for the frontend.

Onella has over two years of professional experience in software engineering. At DigicoLabs, she has contributed to projects such as e-commerce websites and student management systems, showcasing her versatility and commitment to quality. She has also designed user experiences and interfaces using Figma and developed mobile apps with React Native for cross-platform efficiency.

Onella graduated with Honours in B.Sc. in Information Technology, specializing in Software Engineering, from SLIIT University. During her time at university, she worked on an employee management system as a research project, providing her with a strong foundation in advanced development techniques and software engineering principles.

In her free time, Onella enjoys exploring new technologies, staying updated with industry trends, and engaging in photography. She loves capturing nature’s beauty through her lens and finds inspiration in hiking and traveling. Additionally, she enjoys working on DIY projects that fuel her creativity and technical skills.

Nitharshini Kathirgamaraja is a passionate web development intern specializing in Laravel and WordPress at Digico Labs.

She has recently completed her final year in the Bachelor of Software Engineering program at The Open University of Sri Lanka, and holds certifications in Java from Nottingham College and full stack development from the University of Moratuwa.

At Digico Labs, Nitharshini is committed to crafting exceptional web solutions, collaborating with seasoned professionals to deliver projects that exceed client expectations. Kusal Salpura is a dedicated intern software engineer at DigicoLabs and an undergraduate BSc in Information Technology student at SLIIT. Specializing in web development using Laravel, PHP, and JavaScript, he excels in creating dynamic and interactive websites.

Kusal also has a strong background in game development and is proficient in JavaScript frameworks such as Flutter, React Native, and Next.js, as well as compiled languages like C and C++. At DigicoLabs, he is focused on expanding his knowledge and skills, aiming to contribute innovative solutions and deliver exceptional user experiences in both software and gaming domains.

Outside of his professional commitments, Kusal enjoys exploring new technologies and continuously enhancing his expertise in the ever-evolving field of software development.
